Arkansas Real Estate License: Salesperson
Requirements to Obtain a Salesperson License:

- You must be at least 18 years old.

- Complete 60 hours of real estate education, 30 of which must be in the basic principles of real estate.

- Complete fingerprinting and apply for the Real Estate Licensing Examination

- Pass the Arkansas state and national exam.

- Send all fees and documentation to the Arkansas Real Estate Commission no later than 90 days after passing the examinations.

Salesperson Post-License: Requirements to Renew a Salesperson License for the 1st Time:
Complete 18 hours of Post-Licensing education during the first year of licensure.
Salesperson Continuing Education:
Must complete 7 credit hours of education every year, 1 hour of which must be on the required topic of Personal Safety in the Real Estate Marketplace.
Arkansas Real Estate License: Broker
Requirements to Obtain a Broker License:

- You must be at least 18 years old.

- Complete 60 hours of real estate education, 45 of which must be the commission developed Broker Prelicense Education course.

- Have been licensed as an active real estate salesperson or broker for no less than 24 months within the previous 48 month period preceding the date of application

- Note: Written request of such experience requirement may be waived for a real estate broker applicant who has held an active real estate broker license for a period of not less than 18 months or has experience acceptable to the commission in a field considered real estate related for a period of not less than 24 months within the previous 48.

- Pass the licensure examination.

- Send all fees and documentation to the Arkansas Real Estate Commission no later than 90 days after passing the examination.

Broker Post-License: Requirements to Renew a Broker License for the 1st Time
Complete 30 hours of Post-Licensing education during the first year of licensure.
Broker Continuing Education:
Must complete 7 credit hours of education every year, 1 hour of which must be on the required topic of Personal Safety in the Real Estate Marketplace.
