Illinois Broker Post-License

RENEWING YOUR REAL ESTATE LICENSE FOR THE FIRST TIME

Illinois Broker Post-License Requirements:

New licensees renewing their license for the first time must complete the 45-Hour Post-License course.

No other continuing education will be required.

If you have a license with an expiration of 4/30/24, the 45-Hour Post-License course must be completed prior to renewal.
You are required to complete this course before you will be able to directly handle earnest money, escrows and contract negotiations.
Licensees will have no authority to bind the sponsoring broker until this 45-Hour course is completed.

The 45 hour course consists of three 15 hour sessions. They will be offered consecutively but don’t have to be taken all at once.

The course is available as a live class/webinar or online.

A 50 question test administered in class or online must be passed for each 15 hour course.
