Pennsylvania Real Estate License: Salesperson
Requirements to Obtain a Salesperson License:

- Be 18 years or older
-

- Provide proof of high school diploma or equivalent

- Be a U.S. Resident

- Have completed 4 credits or 75 hours of real estate education (effective 8/28/18) in Real Estate Fundamentals and Real Estate Practice within 10 years prior to passing the licensing examination

- Optional: Possess a bachelor’s degree with a major in real estate or it equilvalent from an accredited college, university or institute of higher learning

- Optional: Have completed 4 credits for 75 hours of acceptable basic real estate courses at a real estate school, accredited college, university or institute of higher learning located outside the Commonwealth that has been approved by the jurisdiction where the school is located.

Salesperson Post-License: Requirements for First Renewal

- Complete 14 hours of Continuing Education broken into three, seven hour modules.

- Complete 14 hours of continuing education within biennial renewal cycle

- As of April 17, 2018, at least 1.5 of the required 14 hours of continuing education must be in the topic of Property Management as a real estate licensee and at least 2 hours must be in the topic of Advertising.

- Renewal cycle is May 31st of either odd or even numbered years, licensees receive notice two to three months prior to license expiration date via email. - Have completed 240 hours of instruction

- Provide a detailed resume of real estate activities performed by the candidate while working as a salesperson and a sworn statement from the candidate’s employing broker confirming that these activities were performed by candidate as a licensed salesperson.

- Successfully pass the State and National portions of the PSI Broker Real Estate Exam
